Hello Future Physicians!
We first want to say a huge thank you to all of the members that attended the ASMS Panel last week. It was a huge success and there were a lot of questions that were being asked and answered! We hope that you enjoyed it and were able to take away some valuable information.
Just a reminder that there will be elections next week. We have received a bunch of emails about time conflicts next week so in an effort to have more members being able to attend elections we are moving the election back a day to Tuesday, January 29th at 5:00 PM. Please know that elections are MANDATORY unless you have a valid reason for missing and have notified the Executive Board before hand. The deadline to send in your head shot and short blurb/resume for the election is this week Friday, January 25th at Midnight! Below is a short description of the responsibilities of the Clinical Experience Chair which is pulled straight from the SFP Constitution:
The clinical experience chair will be responsible for searching for and obtaining access to various resources that allow members to gain an insight into clinical medicine, such as physician shadow opportunities.
The clinical experience chair must organize clinical and shadowing opportunities for a minimum amount of 10 students per semester to remain in good standing as an Executive Board member.
This is a great opportunity to practice your leadership skills and also a great opportunity to get more involved and have a bigger impact in SFP! Also, take a look at some of the lecture events that are coming up that Mark and his committee have put together for you!
